I grew up in Noblesville, Indiana and moved to Nashville, Tennessee to attend Belmont University. There I received both a Bachelor of Music in Church Music with an emphasis in piano performance and a Masters of Music in Music Education with an emphasis in conducting. I taught class piano and choir at John Overton High School for four years, worked as assistant director of the Nashville Youth Choir for seven years, and served as the Music Director of several local churches before accepting my current position as Orchestra Director and AP Music Theory teacher at Montgomery Bell Academy. (School’s Website) Additional opportunities include being the score reader for the PBS National Broadcast of “Christmas at Belmont” and conducting honor choirs in Tennessee and West Virginia. Since 2009, I have worked closely with the W.O. Smith summer music camp. and have served as the accompanist for the Tennessee All-State choirs since 2005. I live in Brentwood, TN with my beautiful wife and three kids.
